A crowd gathered in Red Hook, Brooklyn, on Wednesday morning, bringing with them food, flashlights, water and Halloween candy for the kids.
The volunteers mobilized around a command center on Hicks Street, ready to do anything from moving debris to organizing Halloween parties for the thousands of children displaced by the storm.
Welcome to Occupy Sandy, where the 99 percent mobilizes to help the 100 percent.
