I was a little disappointed in how mean people were, not just to me but to each other. You know, I expected them to attack me, but I really didn’t expect the sustained anger and, just, attacks on each other. … My mom was extremely supportive. She agreed with a lot of what the points in the article said, and she felt that the church in some instances has driven people away and there are things that the church cannot answer.
