Oscar nominee Emad Burnat (“5 Broken Cameras”) brought his family to America for the first time this week to attend the award ceremony with him. When they arrived at LAX, they were detained for hours by skeptical TSA agents who didn’t believe that a Palestinian family was really in LA to go to the Oscars. Burnat said their treatment of him and his family felt very, very familiar to how they get treated as Palestinians in Israeli airports. Watch the whole interview here.
