It’s not just Republicans who make light of — or flat-out ignore — climate change, says Cenk Uygur. Though President Obama has worked to improve the fuel economy of cars, increase the use of alternative energy and cut $4 billion in annual oil subsidies, he has also abandoned cap and trade, approved half of the Keystone Pipeline, and has actually done more drilling than George W. Bush. He even bragged during the town hall debate about how important drilling on public lands has been to his administration. “If you elect the progressive Democrat, he’ll really be into coal!” Cenk says.
